Chief Medical Officer, Children's Health Service Line

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Medical Officer, Children's Health Service Line to lead the strategic, clinical, and programmatic direction of the Children's Health Service Line across Sutter Health. This role is crucial in enhancing patient care and access, developing distinctive programs, optimizing financial and operational performance, and driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across all levels of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic, clinical, and programmatic direction of the Children's Health Service Line.
- Develop and implement distinctive programs to enhance patient care and access.
- Optimize financial and operational performance across all levels of service delivery.
- Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with market-level leadership across Sutter Health to ensure excellence in clinical programming.
- Serve as the clinical subject matter expert for the Children's Health Service Line.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree.
- At least 8 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles managing complex teams within a large health system.
- Demonstrated leadership in administrative positions in Hospital and/or Medical Group settings.
- Proven record of recruitment, retention, and development of physician talent.
- Leadership experience in a large, advanced, complex health system required.
- A proven track record in improving quality and safety in a complex health system is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, MPH, or MHA degree.
- Board Certification in an ABP or relevant specialty.
- Experience in teaching/training clinical trainees.
- National recognition as demonstrated through involvement in academic and professional societies.

This is a hybrid role with both work from home and onsite requirements.

Pay Range is $162.24 to $259.59 / hour. Sacramento Valley Pay Pay Range is $142.77 to $228.44 / hour.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
