Job Title: Weld Production Engineer

At Actalent, we are seeking a skilled Weld Production Engineer to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Columbus, IN. This role involves managing capital projects, troubleshooting, conducting downtime and quality investigations, and engaging in tooling design and design for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage capital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Investigate and analyze downtime and quality issues to implement corrective actions.
  • Design and develop tooling and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design for manufacturing principles.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in a production engineering or quality assurance role.
  • Strong knowledge of robotic welding, welding, and machining processes.
  • Experience with tooling and fixture design, including design for manufacturing principles.
