UW Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Endocrinology Specialist to join our team at East Park Medical Center in Madison, WI. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and general endocrine disorders.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, two-week paid parental leave, and adoption assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care to patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and general endocrine disorders
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in an outpatient (85%) and inpatient setting (15%)
  • Participate in the daily functions of the Diabetes Management Service
  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients/families with acute, chronic, and/or potential health problems
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program (if Nurse Practitioner) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program (if Physician Assistant)
  • Minimum State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (if Nurse Practitioner)
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (if Nurse Practitioner)
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (if Physician Assistant)
  • Active PA board certification (if Physician Assistant)
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
