SunCoast Blood Bank is a leading provider of blood donation services, and we're seeking a highly motivated DS Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Associate, you will play a key role in supporting our phlebotomy operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register donors and patients, and assist with various donor recruitment activities.
  • Determine donor suitability and perform phlebotomy for the collection of whole blood units or samples.
  • Provide post-donation care instructions, including treatment of adverse reactions.
  • Ensure proper storage of blood during collection operations and prepare for transport.
  • Perform quality control, maintenance, calibration, and validation of section equipment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year phlebotomy or medical experience, customer service, or other equivalent experience.
  • MEDIUM WORK - Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time with occasional sitting.
