Team: Electrical

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Telecommunications Systems Architect (RCDD) to become a vital part of our organization. This position demands comprehensive expertise in industry regulations, standards, and best practices associated with telecommunications systems architecture. The Telecommunications Systems Architect will engage in the complete project lifecycle, which encompasses scope definition, proposal formulation, initial evaluations, conceptual design, calculations, drawing generation, specification editing, and construction oversight. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to providing exceptional solutions as a trusted partner to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design telecommunications systems for construction projects, including structured cabling, technology space planning, pathway infrastructure, and equipment selection.
  • Produce precise design drawings, specifications, narratives, and other pertinent documentation in alignment with industry standards, regulations, and client project requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee all facets of telecommunications design with minimal oversight.
  • Offer training, mentorship, and development to technical support team members as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • RCDD certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing telecommunications systems for buildings within the AEC sector is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technology-related field, or 7 years of relevant design experience in telecommunications systems for buildings is essential.
  • Proficiency in editing Division 27 specifications is required.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including ANSI/TIA and BICSI, is necessary.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills are essential.
  • Experience with Revit or AutoCAD is required.
  • Experience in designing audio-visual, electronic security, and other technology systems is advantageous.
