About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Architect V to join our team at Williams Companies Inc. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the structure of our IT systems, ensuring they are properly implemented and meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and are properly implemented.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to create a vision and roadmap for IT systems.
  • Apply technical skills to solve complex problems and ensure the architecture is properly implemented.
  • Monitor emerging standards and set standards and technologies to be used by the enterprise.
  • Craft the architecture vision, conceptualize and experiment with alternative architectural approaches.
  • Translate business requirements into repeatable design strategies, systems qualities and patterns.
  • Solve problems with developers, address ongoing revisions/improvements of the architecture.
  • Surveys external emerging developments, new technologies, standards and methodologies.
  • Mentor, teach, consult with other team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years' developing software systems and IT experience.
  • Experience with network/security implementation, management, and standardization across large networks.
  • Proficiency in SD-WAN, scripting & automation, monitoring tools, IPAM, B2B VPNs, and 802.1x.
  • Familiarity with Cisco platforms (ACI, ISE, Wireless), network security principles, Microsoft Azure Networking, DNS, and security frameworks (SASE/SSE/ZTNA).
  • Certifications such as CCNP and CCIE are desirable.
