About the Role

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver with US Foods, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring timely delivery of our products to customers across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Best-in-Class Customer Service: Provide excellent service to customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Meet Scheduled Delivery Times: Ensure timely delivery of products to customers, maintaining productivity and efficiency.
  • Unload Products: Safely unload products from the truck and place them in the customer storage area.
  • Perform Manual Heavy Lifting: Able to perform repeated, manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds.
  • Make Frequent Stops: Make frequent stops during a work shift, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver in Inclement Weather: Deliver products in various weather conditions, maintaining safety and efficiency.
  • Verify Delivery: Verify delivery of items with customers, ensuring accuracy and satisfaction.
  • Collect Payment: Collect payment (cash or checks) where necessary.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CDL Class A: Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Driver's License: Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
  • Driving Experience: Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry required.
  • DOT Physical: Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
