Transportation Underwriter

Arlington/Roe & Co Inc is seeking a skilled Transportation Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating risks, making informed decisions, and developing and maintaining productive relationships with clients, carriers, and industry personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze risks to determine acceptability, modify or decline as necessary
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of transportation-related insurance coverages
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, carriers, and industry personnel
- Stay current with underwriting guidelines, carrier appetites, and procedures
- Operate within established accounting procedures, including invoicing, cancellations, and audits
- Minimum of 3-5 years of underwriting or assistant underwriting experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
- Experience with transportation underwriting and a strong understanding of transportation-related insurance coverages
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and good organizational skills
