Job Summary

BorgWarner is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production floor support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated assembly equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in independent evaluations, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Design and implement manufacturing processes to produce cost reductions, maximizing efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
  • Evaluate machine builders through site visits, demonstrated capability, and financial factors for the purpose of purchasing new equipment.
  • Procure and write all purchase requisitions for new machining, assembly, and test equipment.
  • Lead the new product launch team, responsible for designing manufacturing plans, including operator work content, machine capability, quality checks, and information flow.
  • Collaborate and support production by attending daily meetings and partnering with operational leadership to improve departmental financial metrics.
  • Support production and maintenance due to machine downtime through troubleshooting and problem-solving different machine systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering or Industrial Systems Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering and experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • 5+ Years experience preferred in the automotive industry.
