Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing production floor support and process improvement for the machining of complex, tight tolerance components utilizing CNC controlled lathes, mills, and grinding equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure new equipment to support capacity uplifts and new programs
  • Quote new business and lead the new product launch team
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure manufacturability and reduce costs
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing associates
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including process sheets, control plans, and FMEA's
  • Support all shifts for manufacturing during the week and weekends, if necessary
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering or Industrial Systems Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field
  • Knowledge of GD&T, metrology, metallurgy, and assembly and test processes
  • Experience with CNC machining and grinding
  • Lean manufacturing principles and Industry 4.0

  • Project management
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving
Work Environment

This position requires occasional travel, up to 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements

This position requires lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. on occasion.
