Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient operations within our Accounts Receivable department. This role is crucial to maintaining positive revenue and cash flow while providing excellent customer service to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the invoicing and billing process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
  • Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Perform collections, contacting customers to resolve payment issues and setting up payment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all Accounts Receivable transactions, including adjustments, payments, and write-offs.
  • Communicate with clients to answer inquiries and provide detailed information about their accounts.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and preparing necessary reports.
  • Implement strategies to reduce the number of delinquent accounts and improve overall cash flow.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in invoicing, cash applications, and collections.
  • Proven experience with managing a large volume of invoices.
  • Strong understanding of A/R principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors and discrepancies in financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
