Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic conditions in the operating room
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • 1 year of surgical tech experience and Basic Life Support certification
  • Graduation from a certified surgical technician program or completion of a comparable military program
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as medical terminology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably at Cottage Health
