About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Operations Manager to join our team at JLL. As a key member of our Sustainability practice, you will play a critical role in driving end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate, from site selection to decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and optimize energy and sustainability programs in direct collaboration with clients' sustainability teams.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance on ways to effectively and efficiently implement sustainability services that meet client expectations.
  • Meet client sustainability objectives and relevant key performance indicators, ensuring processes for monitoring and measuring performance are transparent and reported.
  • Establish strong working relationships with other JLL workstreams to deliver against KPI targets and drive implementation where most organic within the business.
  • Work in direct collaboration with data analysts to confirm data integrity and accuracy, including quality control checks.
  • Track and communicate success stories to ensure a high level of awareness and engagement is achieved with regard to the overall sustainability program.
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as science, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 10+ years' experience in sustainable operations, engineering of commercial buildings, building science, or a related field.
  • Technical understanding of common HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems and their impact on sustainability goals.
  • Advanced understanding of energy conservation measures and sustainability initiatives in commercial real estate.
  • Strong operations experience in large multi-dimensional organizations with a focus on operations management, productivity, or engineering excellence.
  • Strong communication and cross-collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree, demonstrating a mastery of building systems and related sustainability aspects.
  • Applied experience in building auditing, commissioning, retrofit, and design.
  • Experience working with corporate clients, commercial property, property managers, and an understanding of the landlord and tenant relationship.
  • Advanced understanding of Greenhouse Gas Emission scopes and reporting.
  • Familiarity with municipal energy and sustainability regulations.
