  • This position will serve as the weekend supervisor for the skilled nursing facility (SNF).
Facilitate the admission process for new residents. Engage with families and residents to ensure exceptional care and service. Provide mentorship and support to nursing personnel. Collaborate with RN Unit Nurses as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities, particularly with long-term and short-term residents and their families
  • Knowledge of admissions procedures for skilled nursing facilities
  • Friendly and compassionate demeanor towards residents and visitors
  • Encouraging and empowering attitude towards colleagues

Role Summary:
The RN Supervisor is accountable for orchestrating patient care and services. Advocates for quality care through a collaborative approach that coordinates, monitors, and assesses services based on patient needs. Works in partnership with patients and their families in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
  • Must be currently licensed/registered in the applicable state. An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing is required throughout employment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience; geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
CPR certification is required upon hire or must be obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current throughout employment.

  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
  • Familiarity with practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing operations in post-acute care settings
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Maintain professional relationships with all associates and vendors
  • Uphold confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
  • Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the Code of Conduct and completing all required compliance training

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, manage, and coordinate patient care and services through interpersonal interactions, enabling patients to achieve or maintain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Assist patients daily in evaluating the quality of care provided
  • Guide licensed staff and CNAs in prioritizing patient care needs and reporting requirements
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary
  • Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance
  • Utilize reasoning skills and sound judgment in all situations
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate productively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during working hours
  • Proficiently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
