Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team at Saint Joseph Health System. As a key member of our sterile processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of medical equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties of Sterile Processing Technician and form effective working relationships with other departments to ensure quality of care for patients.
  • Meet the requirements for certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or CBSPD) and maintain current certification.
  • Have a minimum of one year of experience working in a Sterile Processing environment within a hospital setting.
  • Develop and maintain strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills.
  • Apply math skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform physical work to ensure accurate and efficient processing of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of proper handling of clean, sterile, and contaminated supplies and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain intermediate Excel skills to support data analysis and reporting.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or CBSPD) is required.
  • Minimum one year working in a Sterile Processing environment within a hospital setting.
  • Basic computer skills and good customer service skills.
  • Math skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform physical work.
  • Knowledge of proper handling of clean, sterile, and contaminated supplies and equipment.
  • Intermediate Excel skills are required.
