About the Role

The Ithaca City School District is seeking a Student Supervision Specialist to oversee student behavior and maintain a safe learning environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise students on campus grounds, ensuring they proceed to classes in an orderly manner.
  2. Monitor student behavior in classrooms and on school property, addressing any issues that arise.
  3. Conduct attendance checks and locate students who may be absent from class.
  4. Assist visitors, issue passes, and direct them to their destination.
  5. Coordinate student transportation, ensuring safe arrival and departure times for school buses.
Requirements
  • A deep understanding of child development and educational principles.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain a positive school environment.
Compensation Package

The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $68,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
