Metrology Engineer

TPI, INC is seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality and adherence to design specifications through the development and implementation of precise measurement plans.

• Develop and optimize measurement plans to ensure accurate data capture and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to determine the necessary check gauges and fixtures for production processes.
• Design and calibrate complex gauges to ensure precise and reliable measurement capabilities.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of metrology scans using Polyworks and Verisurf to identify deviations from design specifications and generate detailed reports.
• Own and manage the entire calibration system, including calibration schedules, documentation, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with calibration standards and regulations.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by analyzing metrology data to identify trends and root causes of quality issues.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to inspect product, address quality concerns, and make suggestions for improvement.
• Provides guidance, mentorship, and oversight to the Metrology Technician.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of metrology best practices and industry standards.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in metrology engineering, including hands-on experience with metrology trackers such as FARO and Creaform MetraScan.
• Proven proficiency in metrology software, specifically Polyworks and Verisurf.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
• Experience in calibration systems management.
