Independent Living Support Specialist

We are a leading organization providing support and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism. Our mission is to empower them to live independently, and we're seeking dedicated Shared Living Providers to join our team.
Salary InformationThe daily rate for this role is $122.00, based on Individual MaineCare section 21 & 29 services, plus additional room, and board. This is a competitive compensation package that allows you to work from the comfort of your own home.
Job DescriptionAs a Shared Living Provider, you will be responsible for providing support to an individual with day-to-day activities, accessing community resources, and developing relationships that enrich their lives. Your daily tasks may include:
- Assisting with daily hygiene and personal care as needed.
- Transportation to appointments, community outings, and other commitments.
- Daily documentation and participation in planning meetings.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through training and certifications, including DSP, CRMA, First Aid/CPR. Our support team is always available to assist you in your role.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a High School diploma or GED.
- Hold a valid State of Maine Driver's License.
- Have Home and Auto insurance.
- Pass background checks.
- Have a clean house and a spare bedroom.
