Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager provides leadership for the entire front end and receiving areas at Dirt Cheap Store. This role involves creating and leading a team that is passionate about selling and servicing customers. Key responsibilities include associate development, customer services, store maintenance, and financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer-friendly environment. Maintain outstanding standards by making sure each store associate greets customers, has solid product knowledge, and achieves all sales goals.
  • Leadership: Lead appropriate monthly meetings (e.g., Safety Meeting) and assess all changes from the meetings.
  • Store Operations: Perform all Store Manager functions of opening and closing the store, as needed.
  • Human Resources: Complete associate schedules and maintain attendance records in a timely manner.
  • Reporting: Timely and accurate completion of all internal reporting processes.
  • Staffing: Assure staffing needs of the Store and Company are met by maintaining outstanding hiring standards, recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates on a regular basis. Encourage associates to refer qualified candidates.
Requirements
  • Ability to work irregular or non-core business hours, nights, weekends as needed to have store coverage.
  • Background check required.
Compensation

$12.00 per hour.
