Radiation Physicist Specialist

US Main is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Radiation Physicist to join their team in the Fuel and Physics department.
Job Summary:The Specialist Radiation Physicist will be responsible for planning, performing, and documenting technical analyses, including the application of radiation transport codes, performing dose calculations, and developing activity transport models.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, perform, and document technical analyses, including radiation transport codes and dose calculations.
- Develop and adapt computer codes for specific applications and solve new problems.
- Collaborate with academic institutions and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and train junior staff in radiation physics.
- Follow relevant procedures, guidelines, and standards governing the work being performed.
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or Registered Professional Engineer.
- 15+ years of relevant experience or 10 years with an advanced degree.
- Expertise with MCNP, SCALE/ORIGEN, or ADDAM codes and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PERL, MATLAB, C++, or Fortran.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system and working knowledge of work processes and associated technologies.
