We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Infant Lead Teacher to join our team at Primrose School. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:- Infant Care: Provide high-quality care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Lesson Planning: Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School Balanced Learning curriculum and materials.
- Observation and Assessment: Continuously observe and assess each infant's individual needs and progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Classroom Management: Maintain an attractive and well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
- Communication: Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents, sharing updates on their child's development and milestones.
- Safety and Hygiene: Ensure a safe and hygienic classroom environment, following all health and safety protocols and guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and positive work environment.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
- Licensing Protocols: Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School, including Illinois DCFS standards pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
- Candidates must have at least 60 undergraduate credit hours with 6 hours in child development or early childhood education; or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
