Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to provide a loving, caring, and educational environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a foundation for their cognitive, social, and emotional development while ensuring their health and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nurturing care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School Balanced Learning curriculum and materials.
  • Continuously observe and assess each infant's individual needs and progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
  • Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents, sharing updates on their child's development and milestones.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic classroom environment, following all health and safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and positive work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
  • Candidates must have at least 60 undergraduate credit hours with 6 hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education; or a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
