Job Summary

The Autism Education Support Specialist will work closely with our teaching staff to support students with autism in a classroom setting. This role requires a strong understanding of autism and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Assist with lesson planning and execution to meet the needs of students with autism
  • Provide one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Collaborate with other professionals to create a comprehensive support system for students
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in a related field (e.g. special education, psychology, etc.)
  • Experience working with children with autism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
