Job Title: Behavior Technician (BT) - Direct Support Staff

**Job Summary:**

Peak Potential Therapy LLC is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team as a Direct Support Staff. As a BT, you will work closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide individualized support to children with special needs.

Responsibilities:

  • **Provide One-on-One Instruction:**
  • Implement individualized academic and behavioral programs for clients with disabilities or behaviors.
  • **Collect and Record Data:**
  • Take data on ABA program targets and IEP objectives to track client progress.
  • **Maintain a Safe and Therapeutic Environment:**
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients, promoting social interaction and communication skills.
  • **Collaborate with Team Members:**
  • Work with BCBA, SLP, OT, and other team members to improve the effectiveness of service delivery.
  • **Communicate with Parents and Teachers:**
  • Provide regular updates on client activities, toileting information, eating information, and behavioral occurrences.
  • **Prepare Individual Activity Schedules:**
  • Develop daily activity schedules for clients, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.
  • **Maintain Accurate Records:**
  • Write client session notes and maintain accurate records of client progress.

Requirements:

  • **Education:**
  • Preferred: minimum 2 years of college education.
  • **Certifications:**
  • Required: BCI and FBI background checks.
  • Required: RBT and CPR certifications within 30 days of hire.
