We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic team at Louis A Weiss Memorial Medical Center, LLC. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide first assist in the surgical setting and demonstrate expertise in patient care.
- Conduct in-depth physical examinations, record findings, and critically evaluate patient data to inform treatment decisions.
- Requisition x-rays and other diagnostic tests as needed to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Instruct patients and families on treatment plans and answer questions to ensure patient understanding and satisfaction.
- Arrange consultations and referrals as necessary to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Triages telephone requests for emergency appointments and schedules patients accordingly.
- Maintain established department policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Assist with care and maintenance of unit equipment, supplies, and work areas.
- Cooperate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Current professional registration in the State of Illinois.
- Current CPR certification.
- Professional competence documented by references based on PA experience, education, or both.
