Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join our team at UChicago Medicine Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical exams
  • Formulate treatment plans for orthopedic problems within scope of practice
  • Implement therapeutic interventions for specific conditions when appropriate
  • Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising orthopedic surgeon or other healthcare professionals
  • Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures, and studies
  • Assist in surgery and conduct hospital rounds and write orders
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physician Assistant Programs
  • Physician Assistant in Medicine, Licensed (IL)
  • A minimum of two years of orthopedic experience is preferred
