Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist for a full-time role in Alexandria, Virginia.

This role provides coverage to both the Diagnostic area and the Operating Rooms at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited school of radiography and be registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 months of hire.

They will also possess one year of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology, with recent experience in a hospital or healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist or student.

The successful candidate will be responsible for demonstrating a thorough understanding of radiologic principles, theory, anatomy, and pathology processes.

They will also be expected to confidently operate radiological equipment in various care settings, adhere to department policies and protocols, and ensure all examinations are optimized for interpretation.

Additional responsibilities will include assisting physicians in performing examinations, recognizing clinical and/or emergent problems, and taking appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcomes.

Key requirements for the role include a work schedule of Tuesday – Friday 8am – 6:30pm, ARRT registration, and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
