Compensation

The hiring range for this position is $18.00 to $20.55 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness across various facilities, including shelters and transitional housing.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as Kaivac machines, vacuums, and industrial washers.
  • Complete client request forms accurately.
  • Sanitize windows, doors, frames, and walls using appropriate cleaning methods.
  • Address spills and potential hazards, following safety protocols.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of cleaning equipment and report any issues.
  • Assist in pest control measures and promote infection prevention.
  • Restock supplies and manage storage areas effectively.
  • Dispose of waste daily and assist with moving larger items as needed.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Secure all storage and operational areas after use.
  • Train and supervise program participants in custodial tasks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the custodial team.
  • Provide support to emergency shelters as required.
  • Utilize project management tools to track work progress.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred.
  • Ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations regarding cleaning materials.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks throughout the workday.
  • Commitment to maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • A valid Colorado Driver's License is required, along with a clean driving record.

Salary Range

$18.00 - $20.55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
