We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As a key member of our assessment team, you will play a critical role in providing expert assessment and consultation services to individuals in need of behavioral health support.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals to identify their behavioral health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure seamless care coordination and effective treatment outcomes.
- Provide consultation and education to patients, families, and healthcare providers on behavioral health topics and treatment options.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and providers to ensure access to comprehensive care services.
- Document all assessment and treatment activities in the electronic medical record to ensure accurate and timely information sharing.
- Masters degree in Psychology or Social Work required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Psychiatry or mental health agencies required.
- De-escalation training and AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
- Strong computer skills and ability to work in a technologically advanced environment.
