We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Clinical Staff Nurse on the Med/Surg Tele 3rd Floor. This is a part-time position working days.
Job DescriptionThe Clinical Staff Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and management. Reporting to the Clinical Unit Supervisor of Telemetry, this role requires a strong understanding of the Watson Model of Care and the ability to prioritize and organize patient care effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience, with a focus on Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care nursing. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred, but an Associate's degree or equivalent will be considered. Current California Nursing licensure and Basic EKG Competence are also required.
This role involves working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including documentation, communication, and education. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients and families, utilizing appropriate resources to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process as a problem-solving model.
- Document patient care, including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and the Watson Model of Care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, utilizing the SBAR method in all hand-off situations.
- Participate in the implementation of the unit-specific Quality and Performance Improvement Plan, completing monitoring forms and reporting findings to the Clinical Unit Supervisor and Nurse Manager.
- Uphold professional appearance and demonstrate such through adherence to dress code, wearing hospital I.D. badge, and promoting the standard of proper identification for peers and staff.
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
- Minimum of 12 months of Med/Surg/Telemetry or Critical Care nursing experience preferred.
- Current California Nursing licensure.
- Basic EKG Competence.
- Certification in Progressive Critical Care Nursing preferred.
- Certification in Medical/Surgical Nursing preferred.
