Chicago Medical School is seeking a Faculty Specialty Advisor to join our team. As a Faculty Specialty Advisor, you will play a critical role in guiding students in their chosen medical specialty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with students as a group and individually to discuss their career goals and provide guidance on their chosen specialty.
- Develop and maintain a resource list for students, highlighting possible mentors, research opportunities, and professional organization information.
- Attend interest sessions and provide introductory sessions to the specialty, including life in the specialty, average hours worked, salary, training, number of residencies, general competitiveness of the specialty, and steps to prepare for the specialty.
- Write Letters of Recommendation as needed.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Official transcript for the highest degree earned and also the highest clinical degree earned, if different and relevant to the position.
- Must achieve satisfactory results from a background check.
- Compliance with the current COVID-19 vaccination policy.
