Job Summary

This position serves as the administrative lead for the Harris School of Public Policy's PhD program, as well as its PhD preparatory program, the Master of Arts with Certificate in Research Methods (MACRM).

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the academic advisor to all PhD and MACRM students, providing guidance on course selection and registration, as well as degree progress and completion.
  • Process all PhD stipend payments, ensuring timely and accurate payments to students.
  • Manage communications to PhD and MACRM students and faculty, including maintaining student listservs and updating the Harris website.
  • Coordinate with the faculty program director to determine and implement any changes to the programs.
  • Develop and administer program budgets, recommending or making budgetary decisions as needed.
  • Perform other related work as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in a related field.
  • Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD degree, experience in higher education, familiarity with PhD students, and experience collaborating with faculty.
