About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Circuit Designer to join our Silicon Design team at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will design and implement custom digital circuits for SRAM design, working closely with logic/architecture teams to formulate design specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement custom digital circuits for SRAM design
  • Work with logic/architecture teams to formulate design specifications
  • Define architecture/topologies optimizing for power, timing, area and yield
  • Schematic capture, simulations/analysis, margin verifications
  • Functional equivalency and DFT modeling
  • Work with layout team to create optimal GDS
  • Verify extracted GDS meets design specifications
  • Backend verification, IR/EM
  • Write RTL, validate use-cases, verify against design schematics
  • Support post-silicon effort to enable productization

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge silicon designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products to market quickly. You will be responsible for designing custom digital circuits, defining architecture topologies, and working closely with layout teams to ensure optimal results.

Requirements
  • BS and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Working knowledge of RTL modeling
  • Solid understanding of industry-standard design tools
  • Deep understanding of nanometer device physics, leakage mechanisms, technology interactions with device behavior
  • Ability to devise experiments and analyze data for silicon debug
  • Machine Learning algorithms (ML) and scripting is a big plus

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital circuit design, with a focus on SRAM design and low-power design methodologies. Experience with RTL modeling, industry-standard design tools, and machine learning algorithms is highly desirable.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
