Job Title: Member Representative

As a Member Representative at TEKsystems, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with members through high-touch outreach campaigns, utilizing a soft sales mentality to educate them on their health plans and encourage them to complete surveys or schedule routine appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Make outbound calls to unengaged member populations using Optum's internal dialer system.
  • Warm conference calls with Primary Care Providers to facilitate member engagement.
  • Educate members on their health plans and provide step-by-step guidance on completing surveys or scheduling appointments.
  • Utilize up-selling skills to promote member engagement and retention.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of relevant call center or customer support experience within the last 2 years.
  • Healthcare and/or outbound call center experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to navigate multiple applications and systems simultaneously while speaking with members.
  • High-speed internet and a dedicated quiet workspace are essential for this role.
  • Must be willing to submit to a 5-panel drug screen and 10-year criminal background check.

  • Reassuring and patient communication style to build trust with members.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong grammar and spelling skills, with the ability to write clear and concise emails and other correspondence.
