You take pleasure in mentoring and guiding new and junior colleagues to become proactive, impactful contributors within the organization.

In this role, you will be instrumental in evolving and maintaining our product using React and TypeScript, along with other cutting-edge front-end technologies. You will collaborate within an agile product team focused on optimizing the gas station supply chain, utilizing AI and innovative user experience design.

Our developers and designers are pivotal to our product's success and play a significant role in decision-making. We seek creative individuals and empower them to excel in their work. We reject artificial barriers of responsibility and instead continuously optimize for the most effective use of our resources.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with substantial expertise in TypeScript.
  • Proficient in contributing to a TypeScript codebase and familiar with advanced TypeScript concepts such as generics, type inference, and type guards.
  • Extensive knowledge of JavaScript (ES6), ReactJS (Hooks), and React Design Patterns.
  • Comprehension of the React ecosystem's strengths and challenges, including state management, component reuse, and performance optimization.
  • Strong experience in integrating REST APIs with user interfaces.
  • Skilled in CSS and Less/SASS within modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience in organizing and managing a reusable component library.
  • Comfortable with managing pull requests, utilizing code reviews as learning opportunities, and handling version control with Git.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing complex, data-driven interfaces in a performant and maintainable manner using React Hooks, Contexts, and modern libraries.
  • Advancing our TypeScript initiatives and striving for comprehensive type coverage.
  • Maintaining a Storybook for component documentation.
  • Creating reusable components that deliver significant value across our product suite.
  • Applying creativity and challenging conventional approaches to enhance our front-end applications.
  • Collaborating with product owners and scrum masters to continuously refine the developer experience.
  • Contributing to the growth of our frontend and software knowledge base, including technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
  • Utilizing automation to add value and minimize repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with UI component libraries such as Material UI or antd.
  • Familiarity with AG Grid.
  • Knowledge of @tanstack/react-query.
  • Frontend DevOps skills, including Docker and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience in building and maintaining large-scale, enterprise single-page applications (SPAs).
  • Experience in managing npm packages and addressing challenges related to their use across multiple applications.
  • Familiarity with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Chai).
  • Experience with data visualization libraries (Google Maps, D3, Highcharts, or Nivo).
  • A strong advocate for creating beautiful, user-friendly products, emphasizing design and user experience throughout the software development lifecycle.
