About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pulmonary Function Technologist to join our team at Altru Health. As a key member of our diagnostic and therapeutic services team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of pulmonary disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Services: Perform tests to diagnose and monitor respiratory diseases, including lung function tests, gas exchange tests, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Therapeutic Services: Assist with inpatient and outpatient bronchoscopies, Endobronchial Ultrasound bronchoscopies, bedside tracheostomies, and other therapeutic procedures.
  • Patient Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans, and communicate relevant information to healthcare teams.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of pulmonary function equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and communicate patient information.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Respiratory Therapist - Certified, Pulmonary Function Technologist - Certified, or equivalent.
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in pulmonary function equipment operation.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting, with occasional stooping, bending, and reaching. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a dynamic, patient-centered environment.
