Job Summary

Centurion, a leading healthcare services provider, seeks a dedicated Mental Health Worker/Technician to join its team at State Correctional Institution-Waymart in Waymart, Pennsylvania.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of offenders, providing routine supervision, informal education, and facilitating group therapeutic sessions.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Worker/Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing routine supervision and informal education to offenders
  • Participating in multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implementing interventions as assigned
  • Documenting and informing appropriate staff of significant changes in offenders' functioning
  • Assisting in facilitating group therapeutic sessions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalency
  • A current driver's license
  • Training, experience, or certification as a nurse's aide, medical technician, EMT, or activities technician (preferred)
  • Prior experience in mental health, drug/alcohol rehabilitation, or intellectual disability services (preferred)
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance (where applicable)

Work Schedule

The available shift for this role is full time, evening & night shift.
