Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) savings plan with company match.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced System Commissioning Technician to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for performing system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. You will troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems, and provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loads system-level controller software and performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e., sensors, actuators, etc.)
  • Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues
  • Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
  • Completes administrative tasks, including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
  • Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation
  • Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
  • Fulfills all safety standards and attends required safety training
  • Provides recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities are running efficiently, including upselling opportunities

Requirements

  • Vocational School degree or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field plus three years of industry experience
  • Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
  • Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner
  • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
  • PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software
