Radiation Therapist Assistant in Aiken, SC Position

We are seeking a Radiation Therapist Assistant to join our team at Aequor. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality radiation therapy services.
Estimated Salary: $92,000 per year
Job Overview: In this role, you will work closely with our radiation oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing radiation therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Assist radiation therapists in preparing patients for treatment sessions
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to radiation oncologists or nurses
- Participate in patient education and support groups
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., radiation therapy, medical imaging)
- Completion of a radiation therapist assistant program accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Certification as a radiation therapist assistant (RTA) through the ARRT
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in radiation therapy
