Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our client's team in Sterling Heights/Troy, MI. The position is full-time with a great compensation and benefits package.

Job Summary

The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for performing examination and treatment rooms before and after patient care, performing basic and routine vision screening examinations, administering eye medications, cleaning and maintaining ophthalmic instruments, and assisting physicians during minor in-office procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform examination and treatment room preparation and maintenance
  • Conduct basic and routine vision screening examinations
  • Administer eye medications and clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments
  • Assist physicians during minor in-office procedures
  • Conduct diagnostic tests such as central and peripheral visual field, ocular motility, color vision, pharmacological pupil tests, and tonometry tests
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of MIPS
