About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Flight Technician to join our team at Embraer. As a Flight Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to aircraft assembly and repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of tasks from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Work from diagrams and drawings, and use hand and/or power tooling, ground support equipment, hydraulic servicing carts, oxygen servicing equipment, fueling/defueling operation, battery charging & maintenance, aircraft jacking and aircraft tug operations.
- Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed tasks.
- Collaborate with quality and manufacturing engineering for troubleshooting component replacement/failures.
- May conduct operator verification quality inspections in flight phase or supporting production line in accordance with quality specifications.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications in a controlled environment.
Requirements
- High School/GED and mechanical/electrical, hydraulic, ground support equipment experience a plus.
- Structures & avionics experience a plus.
- Generally, 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
- Entry Level Technician Role, requiring Basic Skills to perform basic tasks within the Technical Area assigned to in area of responsibility with assembly, mechanical, electrical or aircraft structures as well as able to use all tech data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
Benefits
- Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year.
- Able to work different shifts and flexible hours if required.
- Able to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
- Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 'Respirator Protection' regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
