Purpose of Your Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our team at Elizabeth Seton Children's. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our pediatric patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients, including restorative care and rehabilitation programs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify potential health risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Document patient progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring they provide high-quality care and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, technologies, and best practices in pediatric nursing, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • NYS RN License.
  • NYS RN Registration Certificate.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current BCLS certification.
Experience
  • One (1) year clinical experience in a pediatric and/or adolescent chronic/rehabilitative care facility preferred.
Employee Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
  • Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies.
  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this Center, including a medical and physical examination.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
  • Perform tasks that may involve exposure to the resident's blood/body fluids.
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary.
Working Conditions
  • Will work in a well-lighted and ventilated area.
  • Will be subject to frequent interruptions.
  • May be asked to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
Compensation

Competitive salary range: $93,625.00/Yr. to $117,675.00/Yr. (Day Shift) and $106,625.00/Yr. to $130,675.00/Yr. (Night Shift). Both Day and Night Shifts Available.
