Position Overview

The Senior Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering organized and detail-oriented professional services throughout the full cycle of accounting. This position supports the corporate accounting team in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring accurate records of the company’s financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

The essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • General Ledger postings, management of fixed assets and depreciation, cost-center allocations, and handling of prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities.
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing transactions.
  • Assisting in the monthly closing process and the preparation of financial statements.
  • Supporting audit preparation and responses.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Processing corporate accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and payment applications.
  • Generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to GL, AR, and cash flow.
  • Monitoring and upholding the integrity of the General Ledger accounting system, particularly the chart of accounts and subaccount listings.
  • Communicating with banks and other agencies to resolve issues and respond to inquiries professionally.
  • Updating and maintaining documentation for policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring contractual commitments to clients are met through timely and accurate reporting and issue resolution.
