We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Repair Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. in the foodservice industry. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining diesel equipment such as tractors and trailers to ensure compliance with trucking regulations.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of diesel mechanics and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with diesel equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance within company standards
  • Completing documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
  • Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • 3 years of commercial Diesel mechanic or reefer experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals
  • Familiarity with EPA and OSHA regulations

Physical Requirements:
