Senior Clinical Anesthesia Leadership Position in Oshkosh/FDL

This exciting opportunity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Anesthesia Lead to join our team at Advocate Health in Oshkosh/FDL. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and leading a high-performing team of nurse anesthetists.
Responsibilities:
- Lead by example, demonstrating clinical excellence and providing guidance to advanced practice clinicians on continued care of patients.
- Develop and maintain orientation plans, work improvement plans, clinical competencies, communication tools, practice protocols, and scope of practice documents.
- Mentor and train new staff members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of employees, as well as staff development and employee morale initiatives.
- Conduct annual merit-based evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices, sharing knowledge with the team to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Respond to life-threatening emergencies, such as Code Blues and respiratory crises, using your expertise to save lives.
- Work collaboratively with nursing units to provide support and assistance with difficult IV insertions.
Licensure and Certification:
- Must possess a Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Nurse Anesthetist certification (CRNA) issued by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in providing and coordinating care for patients with acute, critical, and/or chronic health conditions as a nurse anesthetist or in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including delegation, team building, managing multiple priorities, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
