Join Our Team as a Respiratory Therapist

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages with respiratory diseases or acute conditions affecting their ability to breathe.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough assessments of patients' pulmonary status and provide recommendations for appropriate respiratory care.
  • Administer oxygen via various delivery devices, including heated high-flow devices and a hyperbaric chamber.
  • Administer aerosolized medications via nebulizer, MDI, DPI, or other devices.
  • Evaluate and maintain artificial airways of various sizes.
  • Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean mechanical ventilators and non-invasive BiPAP & CPAP devices.
  • Transport critically ill patients on respiratory modalities.
  • Respond to hospital emergencies, including rapid response and code calls.
  • Utilize approved RT protocols and perform ABG and other diagnostic tests to evaluate disease extent or treatment effectiveness.
  • Document patient care activities and enter charges in the electronic data system.
  • Complete annual competencies and continuing education as required by hospital policy, credential, and state licensing requirements.
  • Maintain active RT credential(s) and PA state RT license.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • 1+ years of clinical experience.
  • State of Pennsylvania Respiratory Care License.
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
  • ACLS (preferred).
