Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for processing turned parts, working from customer drawings and solid models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement manufacturing processes, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality products.
  • Utilize advanced software tools, including CAD, CAM, and G-code programming, to drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives, focusing on CNC programming optimization, tool life management, and quality improvement.
  • Initiate and manage Engineering Change Requests to address issues with CNC programs and related documentation.
  • Provide setup and run time estimates for turned parts, as well as material requirements, process steps, and tooling requirements, to support the quoting process.
  • Ensure changeover documentation for all CNC processes is current, accurate, and standardized throughout the company.
  • Meet production and shipping schedules, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; Associate Degree or Technical Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on Horizontal lathes and Vertical Turning Lathes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as Autocad, and experience with Master Cam, Cimco, Bravo, Striker, Excel, XPLM, and Creo.
