The Hotel Champlain Burlington is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Public Area Host to join our team. As a Public Area Host, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our public areas, including the lobby, hallways, and public restrooms.
Responsibilities:- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain the public areas, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Guest Services: Provide exceptional guest service, including answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with luggage.
- Concierge Services: Set up and maintain complimentary hotel lobby functions, including the coffee service and nightly concierge events.
- Meeting Room Support: Clean and set up meeting rooms, including arranging furniture and providing necessary equipment.
- Lost and Found: Handle lost and found items, including storing and returning items to their owners.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain hotel equipment, including cleaning and storing equipment.
- Emergency Procedures: Participate in emergency procedures, including evacuations and first aid.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
- License: Valid driver's license for the applicable state and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving record).
- Communication Skills: Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Stress Management: Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
