Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department, supervising staff, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. As a Senior Nurse Leader, you will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives that align with our facility's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure they meet our high standards of care.
  • Set and track departmental goals and objectives, fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that reflect best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee department budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost management.
  • Report directly to the administrator, providing regular updates on nursing performance and progress toward established goals.
  • Maintain high standards of care for all patients, prioritizing their safety, comfort, and well-being.
  • Manage patients' data and medical records as confidential records, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
  • Schedule staff meetings for patient updates, issues, and recommendations, promoting open dialogue and collaboration among team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Nursing or a related field.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), demonstrating expertise and commitment to patient care.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare facility or related setting, showcasing your ability to lead and manage nursing teams.
  • Strong understanding of skilled nursing standards of care, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and adapt quickly to new situations, ensuring seamless implementation of changes and innovations.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills, facilitating collaboration and success within the team.
