Pipefitter - Southern New Hampshire Installation Specialist

Job Summary
Sagamore is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team in the Southern New Hampshire region. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems composed of various materials.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in pipefitting, with experience working with pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves. You will consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to create working procedures based on specifications.
You will gather equipment and materials for the job, weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes as needed. You will attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps, and cut or bore holes prior to project commencement.
You will inspect pipes, testing for pressure and leaks, and report and/or resolve any problems that arise. You will also coordinate with the manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Piping Systems Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair piping systems composed of various materials.
- Blueprint Consultation: Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to create working procedures based on specifications.
- Equipment Gathering: Gather equipment and materials for the job.
- Pipe Fitting: Weld, cut, bend, thread, solder, and fit pipes as needed.
- Wall Attachment: Attach pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps.
- Inspection and Testing: Inspect pipes, testing for pressure and leaks, and report and/or resolve any problems that arise.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Coordinate with the manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
Requirements
- Education and Certification: Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship that included classroom and on-the-job instruction in pipefitting or related field.
- Licenses: Required state licenses.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read schematics and blueprints, use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
- Commercial Experience: Prior commercial experience.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills.
